You will study at the London College of Communications at UAL, based in Elephant and Castle, in the borough of Southwark. The area is vibrant, artistic, and very centrally located. London has a diverse range of peoples and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken within its boundaries. London had topped 9 million people in 2020, making it the most populous municipality in the European Union.
London is home to numerous museums, galleries, libraries, sporting events and other cultural institutions, including the British Museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern, British Library and 40 West End theaters.
London’s transportation system is also renowned, and the London Underground is the oldest underground railway network in the world.
Dr. Elizabeth Wesner
An avid traveler, Elizabeth is the Head of Student Services at the AIFS Global Education Center in London, having settled in the U.K. after working abroad in various international education programs for over ten years. The student experience is at the heart of Elizabeth’s work, and she strives to ensure an excellent outcome for all students. Her work experience outside the U.K. includes teaching language and culture classes across the U.S., South Korea and China, and her graduate research included topics in multicultural education, educational access, and how students in different countries view and utilize study abroad. Prior to coming to AIFS Elizabeth worked in the International Studies Office at the University of Virginia and served as both Assistant Dean and Program Director at Florida International University’s China center.
