Heather’s career in higher education began in Residence Life and student activities before she transitioned into international education as the Assistant Dean of Students at Harlaxton College, the British campus of the University of Evansville. Upon returning to the U.S. she worked in program development and delivery for faculty-led programs, student advising, and managing student programs across multiple global locations at Carroll University. After a brief return to Residence Life at a British university, Heather moved to London to become the Resident Director for API from 2017-2021. After a sabbatical in Saudi Arabia, she became a temporary Programme Manager in 2023 working on customized faculty-led programs, and became the AIFS Abroad London Director in 2024. She has expertise in program design and logistics, student welfare, event management, co-ordinating teams, risk management, and university relations. Heather’s experience on both the university side and the provider side has given her a great appreciation of all the intricacies of study abroad, allowing her to see the bigger picture and work collaboratively for the best student experience.
