Dr. Isadora Helfgott
Isadora Helfgott is the Vice Provost for Global Engagement at the University of Wyoming. In that capacity, she leads global initiatives across the university to help UW meet its strategic mission related to internationalization and global engagement.
Isadora received her Ph.D. and A.M. in History from Harvard University and her B.A. in History and Art History from Swarthmore College. She has participated in international collaborations in Cambodia, India and the U.K., and has led study abroad courses focused on the history and practice of museums and other cultural heritage institutions and artistic movements.
She joined the History faculty at UW in 2009 and has served as Department Head for the Department of History and American Studies and Program Director for the minor in Museum Studies. In her research as a cultural historian, Isadora focuses on the history and politics of art appreciation, cultural institutions, global networks of cultural exchange, and museum exhibition practice.
