Program Site Visits

Broaden your staff and faculty members’ knowledge of the world through visits to our program sites. Education abroad professionals know that having good on-site knowledge of programs is to key to successful student advising. AIFS arranges site visits to select program sites each semester.

Registrants from AIFS Affiliate institutions may request AIFS support for their participation; funding is limited. Participants also may elect to register for site visits at their own cost. For more information on Affiliation with AIFS click here.

Fall 2016 Site Visit

Limerick and Dublin, Ireland – November 5–12, 2016 (download the itinerary)
Depart the U.S. on November 5, arrive in Shannon on November 6

Spring 2017 Site Visit

San José , Costa Rica – February 12–16, 2017 (download the itinerary)
Depart the U.S. on February 12 to arrive in San José and return to U.S. on February 16

AIFS has published a wide range of publications, geared toward students, study abroad advisors and faculty on subjects including Study Abroad and Career Development and The Gender Gap in Post-Second Study Abroad.
The AIFS Foundation also partnered with Institute of International Education (IIE), on a series of Global Education Research Reports.

The seventh report in the series, Latin America’s New Knowledge Economy Higher Education, Government, and International Collaboration, was released in 2013.
