Hailing from the UK, James spent the majority of his studies abroad. During his Bachelor’s in German and Italian at the University of Bath, he spent one respective semester in Rome and Frankfurt. Of his Master’s in European Politics, he spent one semester in Bath and four in Berlin, attending courses at Alexander von Humboldt University and Freie University while working as a Student Assistant at the Hertie School. During this time, James became a Youth Fellow with the International Youth Think Tank, working with students from across Europe. In April 2024, he returned to the UK, joining AIFS Abroad as Program Manager responsible for London programs.
