AIFS Program at a Glance - War and Society: 1000 - 2000 AD

  • 3-week exploration of London and Paris studying coutless fights, battles and wars in both ancient and recent history, and their roles in shaping society and culture
  • Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA required (lower GPAs will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Earn 3 semester credits
  • Visit the British Museum, the Household Cavalry Museum, Dover and Hastings Castles, Les Invalides, the Army museum, the Palace of Versailles, Péronne to explore World War I memorials, the Caen Memorial, the Imperial War Museum and Churchill War Rooms, the Naitional Archives and more
  • Program fee includes tuition, housing, some meals, excursions and cultural activities, and more. Optional AIFS Flight package available.
  • Study in London (8 nights), Paris (7 nights), and London (6 nights)
  • A travel manager accompanies the students and is available 24/7 in case of emergencies

  • Transcripts issued by Richmond, the American International University in London


Visas not required for U.S. citizens. Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for obtaining a visa as required.

My interest in international and cultural education began when I was an undergraduate at Pace University in New York. As a research assistant, my work focused on ethnicity, race, gender and culture, as well as local environmental issues. I continued to pursue my interests in cultural education by studying abroad with AIFS during my junior year in London, England. I loved the experience so much that I decided to finish my degree in England and I graduated from Richmond, The American International University in London with a bachelor's degree. After graduating, I began my professional career in international education as an Admissions Officer with AIFS in November 2006. In 2012, I received my master's degree from Fordham University in New York, New York.
