A unique feature of our internship program in Italy is the language course you will be enrolled in before your internship. Summer internships are 8 weeks long, while a semester internship lasts 12 weeks. While interning in Milan you will be able to fully absorb the local culture and everything the city has to offer. Internet access is included in all AIFS housing in Milan.

Milan is widely regarded as a global capital industrial design, fashion, and architecture. Modern skyscrapers, such as the Pirelli Tower and the Torre Velasca were built, and artists such as Bruno Munari, Lucio Fontana, Enrico Castellani, and Piero Manzoni were attracted to the city.
Milan is also regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world, along with New York City, Paris, and London. The Italian prêt-à-porter industry is most present in Milan as many of the most famous Italian fashion brands, such as Valentino, Versace, Prada, Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana, are headquartered in the city.

Antonella comes from an Italian family but was born and raised in Argentina. She moved to the United States in 2008, where she worked and studied in Chicago, Illinois, and Park City, Utah. In 2015, she won a scholarship that allowed her to study in Brazil for a whole semester. She eventually returned to Argentina to complete her degrees.
In 2018, Antonella moved to Milan to pursue her dream of living in Europe. She loves traveling, learning new things, meeting new people, and embracing a healthy lifestyle. She spends most of her time traveling, planning travels, and thinking about traveling.
Currently, she works as an online health coach and joined the AIFS Abroad team as the Milan Assistant Director in 2022. Antonella is passionate about sharing her love for travel with students and is dedicated to being the supportive guide she wished for when she began her own adventures at 18 years old.
In addition to day trips and excursions, a cultural calendar of weekly activities and social events is included in your program fee. These activities will include both typical tourist sites and attractions and lesser known visits which take advantage of the expert knowledge of our local AIFS Abroad staff and give you a more authentic and insightful view of life in Italy. Participants can select an optional transportation package for all AIFS Abroad programs that includes a round-trip flight from 25 U.S gateways and airport transfers to and from campus. Participants who choose to book their own flights will be responsible for connecting with the group at the program location and will need to make their own ground transportation arrangements from the airport.
Below are fees by departure city based on average historical costs and subject to change. If you select this option on your application, the total flight package price will be confirmed approximately one month prior to departure. Your program fee is guaranteed, and the optional flight package is an additional fee. Please note that once we have finalized the pricing for your flights the cost may change, and you will be responsible for making the additional payment if you want to participate in the flight package. Your program advisor will be in touch should there be any changes in the price of your flights.
