Karla began working in Education in 2000, she taught ESL in primary and secondary schools in Costa Rica. In 2007, started her journey in the field of international education and study abroad as an Academic Director for International Studies Abroad (ISA). Then her path continued at Universidad de Iberoamerica (UNIBE Costa Rica) as the Director of International Programs developing many customized faculty-led programs with various universities from the United States. Karla had a temporary but very meaningful experience at EARTH University as the internships’ coordinator for the third year students. In 2015, she joined the phenomenal team of American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) as the Resident Director in San José, Costa Rica.
