Bonjour! I am a native of Cannes, and became the AIFS Resident Director here in 1999. I studied abroad for a year in England, a year in Spain and a third year in Scotland, encountering new adventures and challenges every day. It really changed me as a person and altered my perception of the world.

Along with traveling I enjoy discovering new cultures. I speak French, English, Spanish and conversational Italian. I have a Masters degree in Tourism Management and have worked in the tourism industry in Greece, Norway, Tunisia and Ireland. Whether it's your first time abroad or your tenth time, every minute is sure to be a great experience. I look forward to helping you adjust to the new environment and sharing my culture with you.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.

AIFS Campus Staff with First Aid Training

Because health and safety are top priorities at AIFS, at least one member of the staff at this campus has taken a first aid course in order to be available to help any student until a doctor or nurse can provide help. This is just one of many services that we provide to our students.

Housing and Meals

Housing

  • You will stay in a double or triple room in the Campus residence hall. The residence is situated opposite the beach, near the old town which is one of the most beautiful parts of Cannes. Many rooms overlook the palm trees in the courtyard to the Mediterranean beyond-perfect for a morning swim before class! A limited number of single rooms and recently upgraded rooms with en suite bathrooms are also available for a supplemental fee of approximately $100 per week. Laundry facilities are available for approximately 5 euros.

Meals

  • You will have 12 meals per week (breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday and brunch on weekends). The chef offers varied and well-balanced French cuisine including a salad bar and occasional international specialties. The program fee does not include lunch or dinner on trips. Students who would prefer to receive full-board (3 meals a day Monday through Friday and 2 on weekends) can pay a supplement directly to Campus International de Cannes upon arrival.

The mild climate of the French Riviera is ideal to enjoy outdoor life and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea is a favorite activity! To help you get a true taste of French culture, a range of cultural activities and excursions are included in your program fee. Previous activities have included:
