  • 4 week summer study abroad in Stellenbosch, South Africa, plus 6-day Garden Route trip
  • Open to high school graduates, college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • No previous African language study required
  • Program fee includes tuition, housing, meal allowance, London stopover, excursions and cultural activities, Garden Route tour, airfare if selected, trips to Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope, and more
  • Earn up to 8 semester credits
  • Courses taught in English in service learning, African studies, art, business, economics, geography, history, law, literature, political science, sociology and viticulture
  • The local AIFS Resident Director and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
  • Transcripts issued by Stellenbosch University
  • Visa not required for U.S. citizens for less than a 3-month stay.
  • Participants must have a valid passport by May 1
