Study Abroad in St. Petersburg: Cultural Travel

2-day visit to London (Included in fee)

Friday, June 19 Morning arrival in London, where the flight will be met by an AIFS representative. Transfer to hotel. Balance of the day free. Overnight in London.

Saturday, June 20 Morning sightseeing tour of London landmarks. Your guide points out places of interest including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square. Evening free. Overnight in London.

Sunday, June 21 Transfer to airport for flight to St. Petersburg.

Includes hotel, breakfasts, airport transfers, sightseeing tour and local guide. Lunch and dinner are not included.

3-day visit to Moscow (Included in fee)

During summer school, the Resident Director accompanies students on a weekend visit to Moscow to explore the capital. Moscow, with a population of ten million, is the largest city in Russia. It is the home of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet, the Moscow Art Theater and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. Chief among the city’s many museums and art galleries are the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the State Tretyakov Gallery (mostly Russian Art) and the Kremlin Museum.

Friday, July 10 Afternoon train from St. Petersburg to Moscow. Evening arrival and transfer to hotel.

Saturday, July 11 Morning bus tour to take in the sights including Red Square, Church of Christ our Savior and the Kremlin. Afternoon tour of the Kremlin.

Sunday, July 12 Morning tour of the Tretyakov Gallery. Students are free in the afternoon to explore Moscow’s sights independently. Evening performance at the Moscow State Circus.

Monday, July 13 Free time in the morning. Afternoon return journey to St. Petersburg.
