From Stuck to Strategic: Building Campus Partnerships That Move the Needle

July 10, 2025 03:00 PM

This is part of the AIFS Abroad Summer E-learning Advisor Toolkit Series.

Do you have a program, project, or initiative you’re trying to launch—or do you need inspiration for one? Building strong partnerships within your office, across campus, or from the broader field, can make the difference between a stalled idea and a successful initiative.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore strategies to harness the power of storytelling, data, and relationship-building to effectively advocate for your goals and increase your impact. You’ll leave with practical ideas to grow your network, strengthen your toolkit, and take meaningful steps toward advancing a project that matters to you.

Led by Melissa Matsubara, Hawaii Pacific University, and Shelley Jewell, University of Wyoming, AIFS Abroad Board of Advisor members

What to Expect?

Your time is precious (ours is, too!) We’ve taken the traditional webinar concept and reframed it. Here’s what to expect in our E-learning series:

  • 20-30 minutes of content from knowledgeable AIFS Abroad staff and colleagues
  • Dedicated time for Q&A
  • Recordings available to all registrants, by email and posted to the Advisor Portal for access in the future
  • Topics that matter. Professional development hours and dollars can be hard to come by, and we’re focusing these short sessions on maximizing time and knowledge
  • Connections to colleagues. Meet not only AIFS Abroad staff but others in the AIFS Abroad network, and find support where and when you need it.
