Kristen is a Korean American Adoptee with a B.A. in English Writing from Marist College and a MS.Ed in Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies from Hofstra University. She grew up on Long Island, New York and relocated to Orlando, Florida with her family in 2018. Her interest in international education began when she studied abroad in South Korea for a semester and connected with her culture and birth family. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she returned to South Korea to teach English through the Fulbright program. Upon her return to the United States, she began her career in higher education where she spent over six years working in various departments, including administration in financial aid, study abroad, transfer, and advising. Kristen joined AIFS as a Global Program Advisor in May 2023.
