AIFS Abroad provides excellent accommodations, activities, resources, and staff to help interns learn about and integrate into their host community.
Internet access is included in all AIFS Abroad housing in Dublin.
Public transportation such as buses make it easy to get around the city to shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are trains, trams, and bikes, but walking is also a great way to get around the city.
Dublin’s weather is mild and stays consistent in temperature with slight fluctuations. You can count on it to be rainy one-third of the year but don’t count the sunshine out. Packing layers and rain gear is a good idea when heading to Dublin.
Dublin is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 8 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.
While English is an official language spoken in Dublin, you will also hear Gaeilge, the second official language, spoken in shops and pubs around the city.

Greta is originally from the West of Ireland. She has lived and worked abroad for most of her life – the US, Australia, the UK, Germany and Chile – and has visited many more. She returned to Dublin in 2016 and now lives by the beach in beautiful Killiney with her 2 children and a dog.
