Study Abroad in Berlin, Germany

Program Fees - January Term 2018

AIFS All-Inclusive Program Fee: $3,795

  • Tuition — 3 semester credits. Due to the length of the program, we strongly recommend that students take only one 3-credit course. In exceptional cases and with the authorization of college advisors it may be possible to take two courses for a total of 6 credits. A supplemental fee of approximately $725 is charged if students select the additional course
  • Housing in a University apartment. Two or three students share an apartment in a combination of double and single rooms. The apartments have a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom
  • Meals — a pre-loaded meal card to subsidize the cost of purchasing meals in the university cafeterias
  • Transportation pass that includes all public transport such as the subway, bus or city tram, day and night, 7 days a week
  • Cultural and Social Activities — visits such as the German Bundestag, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Berlin Wall Memorial, and a day trip to Potsdam will be included
  • Welcome Reception and Orientation to help you get to know your classmates better, familiarize you with the local area and advise you about living in Berlin
  • Comprehensive Insurance and Assistance Package
  • Personalized Assistance by the AIFS Admissions Team in the U.S. to help you prepare for your study abroad experience
  • Pre-Departure Resources including an information handbook and online AIFS account to help you manage your application and planning
  • On-site Resident Director and Support Staff to help with any questions or advice you may need while in Berlin. AIFS operates a 24-hour emergency telephone service so that local staff can always be reached in an emergency situation
  • Official Transcript — On completion of your program a transcript issued by Humboldt University will be sent to your home institution
