AIFS Program at a Glance - Tropical Marine Biology in Australia

  • 3-week exploration of Western Australia's marine habitats, incluing Ningaloo Reef, considered to be one of the last great ocean paradises on Earth
  • Spend 13 nights in Perth and take a 10-day field trip to Ningaloo Reef and Marine Park
  • Open to college juniors and seniors
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (lower GPAs and students in their sophomore year will be considered on a case-bycase basis
  • This is a final year course at Murdoch University therefore interested AIFS students should ideally have completed 2 general biology units and be majoring in a related scientific field
  • Earn 4 semester credits
  • Program fee includes tuition, housing, some meals, excursions and cultural activities, and more. Optional AIFS Flight package available.
  • Murdoch University faculty accompany the students and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
  • Comprehensive Insurance and assistance package

A Connecticut native, I have returned to the area after spending several years living, working and studying abroad. I hold a BA in International Studies with a French minor from Fairfield University and a Cambridge CELTA from AKCENT International House Prague. After a time teaching English in France, I went on to complete a Master of Arts in International Social Development at the University of East Anglia. I am passionate about international education and the importance of the internationalization of higher education for an increasingly global society. In my free time I enjoy cooking, music and of course traveling as much as possible!
