Overview

Spend a semester or academic year in the energetic and scenic city of Granada, Spain with AIFS! Study a variety of academic program options at the University of Granada’s Centro de Lenguas Modernas (CLM). Located at the foot of the stunning Sierra Nevada and a short trip from the sparkling Mediterranean, the Center consists of modern classrooms, audio-visual equipment, computer facilities and a library.

What’s Included

    Homestay or apartment. Additional housing options are available

    3 meals per day for homestay students. Apartment students receive an allowance worth $800 to subsidize the cost of purchasing meals and groceries

    Day trip to Nerja on the Costa del Sol, Las Alpujarras (fall only), Ronda (spring only) and a 3-day excursion to Gibraltar, Seville and Córdoba

    Guided tours of the Alhambra palace complex, Generalife Gardens and Albaicín, a Flamenco show, hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains, an evening at the Arabic Baths, welcome and farewell dinners

Visa

Students must apply for a student visa with the Spanish Consulate for programs over 90 days. Upon acceptance AIFS will provide instructions and the necessary official documents about the academic year or semester in Spain; however, students must contact the Spanish Consulate directly for the appropriate visa forms. For many consulates, AIFS is able to apply for your visa on your behalf, provided you submit the needed visa information documents to AIFS by stated deadlines.
