Saturday, January 9 | ![]() | Full-day excursion to Cape Town to include a sightseeing tour, a visit to Robben island for a tour of the prison museum and Table Mountain by cable car |
Sunday, January 10 | ![]() | Full-day guided excursion to Cape Point followed by a visit to a winery |
Wednesday, January 13 | ![]() | Depart Stellenbosch to travel along the Garden Route |
Thursday, January 14 | ![]() | Visit an ostrich farm then travel onwards to the famed limestone Cango Caves |
Friday, January 15 | ![]() | Visit Addo Elephant National Park. End the day at Jeffrey’s Bay |
Saturday, January 16 | ![]() | Travel to Tsitsikamma National Park and to Knysna, a popular vacation town |

** Optional Garden Route Tour
Students taking the Wine Making or Business programs may sign up for an optional 4-day Garden Route tour at the end of the program. (Photography students will travel along the Garden Route as part of their program). This tour is offered by Stellenbosch University in conjunction with a local travel company and is not offered by AIFS. Students sign up and pay directly for this tour (Fee is R5900). Information on how to do this will be provided.
The Garden Route Tour will include a 4x4 Game Drive, Plattenburg Bay and Knysna, canoeing and an elephant encounter, a visit to Cango Caves and 2 nights stay at Myoli Beach and 1 night in Outshoorn. Breakfast and dinner are included daily.
