ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa International Business School
Created in 1972, the IBS is one of four schools that make up the University ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Currently 3,500 students are enrolled in the undergraduate, masters, and PhD programs offered by the school’s six departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing Operations and Management, Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics and Human Resources and Organizational Behavior. As well as being recognized worldwide for its teaching and research, the IBS is well known for its multicultural and international approach to education. The school also holds the prestigious AACSB and AMBA business accreditations.
Academic Overview
Admissions Requirements Open to high school graduates and first year, sophomore, junior and senior college students with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Lower GPAs will be considered on a case by case basis.
Attendance is required for full credit. Unexcused absences are not permitted.
Credit hours are in parentheses. Classes are held for a minimum of 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday for a total of 45 hours.
Grades No AIFS participant is permitted to take a course without receiving a grade. Pass/Fail grade options are not available.
Transcripts are issued by the ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa International Business School. An official transcript will be sent directly to the student’s home institution on completion of the program.
