For some 20 years, I have led and strengthened advocacy initiatives aimed at increasing civic engagement and equity in the United States, South Africa, and globally. I am passionate about the ways in which international education, experiential learning, and civic engagement help to build a more just and equitable society. My experience with study abroad started at a young age when my family hosted an English teacher from Japan. Decades later she reciprocated the same for me. As the Director of Customized Faculty Programs, I look forward to leveraging my experience with program management, research, and relationship building within higher education and other sectors. I am happiest when supporting opportunities for young people to cultivate their identities and build their skills, in service of their futures and a better tomorrow.
