AIFS Program at a Glance - Spring 2018

  • Spring Semester
  • Courses taught in English except in Hungarian language classes
  • Open to college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Program fee includes tuition, housing, meal allowance, transportation pass, orientation workshops, excursions and cultural activities, trip to Vienna, and more. Optional AIFS Flight Package available.
  • Courses include accounting, art and art history, business, communications, economics, film, history, Hungarian language, international relations, law, politics, psychology and sociology
  • Visa required before traveling to Hungary
  • The local AIFS Resident Director organizes cultural activities and housing, acts as a liaison between students and the university, and is available 24/7 in case of emergencies
  • Comprehensive Insurance and assistance package
  • Transcripts issued by Corvinus University

AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships available!
The scholarship deadline is April 15 for the Academic Year/Fall Semester and October 1 for the Spring Semester.

Visa

Students holding a U.S passport must apply for a student visa with the nearest Hungarian embassy or consulate as soon as they are accepted to the AIFS program. AIFS will provide instructions about the academic program and semester in Budapest; however, students must contact the Hungarian embassy or consulate directly for the appropriate visa forms. If you are a non U.S. citizen, you may also need a visa. Please contact the AIFS Admissions Officer for further information.

I joined the AIFS team as an Admissions Officer to help students get the most out of their study abroad experience. I am a University of Connecticut graduate with a background in Interpersonal Communication. I have a passion for international education and tourism. I became a travel enthusiast after exploring Southern Ireland. I truly enjoy working with students throughout the admissions process and providing them with the assistance needed to pursue a semester or academic year abroad. When I am not in the office I am spending time with my large Irish family.
