AIFS Program at a Glance - Fall 2016 & Spring 2017

  • Open to high school graduates, college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Program fee includes tuition, housing, some meals, orientation workshops, cultural and social activities, trips to Cambridge and Bath, and more. Optional AIFS Flight Package available.
  • Courses include American studies, art, design and media, art history, British studies, business, communications, development studies, economics, entrepreneurship, European studies, fashion, film, finance, history, international business, international relations, international journalism, literature, management, marketing, photography, politics, public relations, psychology, religion, service learning, sociology and theater
  • The local AIFS Resident Director and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
  • Transcripts issued by Richmond, The American International University in London

AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships available!
The scholarship deadline is April 15 for the Academic Year/Fall Semester and September 15 for the Spring Semester.

Visa

U.S. Citizens do not have to obtain a visa prior to arrival in the UK. There are exceptions to this for students planning to volunteer, stay for the full year or take the Service Learning course. More details will be provided upon acceptance into the program.

Originally from New Hampshire, I received my bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and my master's degree from the University of Bridgeport. As an undergraduate, I studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia, which sparked my passion for international study and travel. After graduating from UNH, I returned to Australia for three months, volunteering for a non-profit in Sydney. Upon my return, I sought a job in international education and joined AIFS in 2006. Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, sewing, and getting back to my New Hampshire roots by spending time outdoors.
