Program Fees - January Term 2019

AIFS All-Inclusive Program Fee: $4,495

  • Tuition 3 semester credits
  • Housing with local families on San Cristóbal Island. Hotel accommodation is provided for the Quito and Santa Cruz Island sections of the program.
  • Meals Breakfast and lunch during the first section of the program in Quito, lunches at local restaurants or included in the field excursions, and daily breakfasts and dinners with the homestay family in San Cristóbal Island. Breakfast and lunch on the first day and breakfast only on the second and third day in Santa Cruz Island. Breakfast only upon return to Quito at the end of the program. Farewell dinner.
  • Flights Round trip flights from Quito to the Galápagos with private round trip transportation from the airport to the hotel or campus.
  • Cultural and Social Activities including a guided tour of Quito's historic center and the Middle of the World Monument or Otovalo Market. Activities in the Galápagos include visits to Frigate Bird Hill, El Junco Lake, La Galapaguera – home to the famous giant tortoises, La Lobería Beach to see the marine iguanas, snorkeling excursion to Kicker Rock, Puerto Chino and Isla Lobos to see the blue-footed boobies.
  • Galápagos National Park entrance fee and immigration card plus snorkeling equipment in the Galápagos.
  • Private Transportation in Quito and Galápagos.
  • Excursions Quito, Ecuador (2 nights at the start of the program and 2 nights at the end) Santa Cruz Island, Galápagos (2 nights).
  • Welcome Reception and Orientation to help you get to know your classmates better, familiarize yourself with the local area and advise you about your stay.
  • Comprehensive Insurance and Assistance Package
  • Personalized Assistance by the AIFS Admissions Team in the U.S. to help you prepare for your study abroad experience.
  • Pre-Departure Resources including an information handbook and online AIFS account to help you manage your application and planning.
  • On-site Resident Director and Support Staff to help with any questions or advice you may need while in the Galápagos. AIFS operates a 24-hour emergency telephone service so that local staff can always be reached in an emergency situation.
  • Official Transcript On completion of your program, a transcript issued by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito will be sent to your home institution.

Please note fee does not include the non-refundable $95 application fee and $250 refundable damage deposit. Students who do not take the optional AIFS Flight Package are responsible for making their way to and from campus by the scheduled program dates.

For your convenience, AIFS will arrange your round-trip airfare (including all fuel surcharges, taxes and fees), meet you at the arrival airport(s) and provide transportation to and from the program site on scheduled arrival and departure dates. Prices for this option include:
