Full-Day Excursion to Karlovy Vary

Included in program fee

Visit the spa town of Karlovy Vary (formerly Carlsbad), location of the Czech International Film Festival. Drop by the Grandhotel Pupp which was used in the Oscar winning 2014 film Grand Budapest Hotel.

Optional Excursion to Berlin, Germany (2 days - $325)

Berlin is Germany’s capital and largest city. The world-famous Brandenburg Gate, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Museum Island and the superb architecture of the impressive Reichstag building are among its most famous attractions. Berlin is also seen as one of the coolest cities in Europe and in the various neighborhoods you can find artsy galleries and markets, foods to try from all over the world, great shopping and nightlife.

Upon arrival in Berlin, you will have a guided tour of the city center. This will include Berlin’s most famous attractions such as the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and Potsdamer Platz. Afterwards you can enjoy a free evening to explore the sites and neighborhoods. The following day we will take you to the Berlin wall memorial and you will visit the Reichstag dome famously designed by British architect Norman Foster, which provides great views over the city. This is followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you can visit one of the world-class museums in Berlin, such as the Pergamon, Neues or Jewish museum, before returning to Prague.

A minimum of 6 students is required for this optional excursion to run. Includes accommodation, breakfast, transportation, sightseeing and entrance fees as specified and one lunch.
