Hello everyone! Thinking about studying in Brazil? This is definitely the right place! São Paulo, as the business center of the country, has a lot to offer. With 11 million residents, this is the right place to meet new people and new cultures. Many options of restaurants, theaters and museums are available – and that's what makes São Paulo so interesting! Additionally, we are 1 hour away from the closest beaches and 1 hour by plane from Rio de Janeiro.

A little bit about me: I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and I am currently working on my graduate degree at FAAP in International Affairs. I also work at FAAP as a Project Developer/ Exchange Advisor. I love working here; the environment is really special! I have been working with exchange students since 2009 and I love the idea of meeting people from all around the world. Hope I can meet you here soon!

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.

Housing and Meals

Homestays

  • You will be hosted with a local family located close to the campus. Most homestays are within walking distance to the University. You share a room with another student and there may be other international students living in your homestay. Internet is included and there is privacy for study. The homestay experience is the best way to learn Portuguese and get involved with the local culture.

Student Houses

  • Students who prefer to live more independently can choose to live in a shared student house located near the University. The house has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. Students are in shared double bedrooms and there are several shared bathrooms. There may be other international students living in the house.

Meals

  • You will receive an allowance towards the purchase of meals and groceries. Please note: the allowance is a subsidy and will not cover the cost of all meals.

Transportation Pass

Valid on the bus and metro for the duration of your stay.

Cultural Activities

Learning does not begin or end in the classroom. To help you get a true taste of Brazilian culture, a wide range of cultural activities and excursions are included in your program fee. The Resident Director organizes a variety of activities which usually include:

  • Welcome meal
  • Historical center of São Paulo
  • Municipal Market
  • Major art museums
  • Social activities with local Brazilians
  • Festa Junina and the Aula de Gastronomia Brasiliera
  • Brazilian dance classes
  • Capoeira classes
  • Farewell meal

Please note that students may need to pay a small additional fee for some of the activities above.

Campus at FAAP There is an atmosphere of intense cultural awareness on campus, which is reinforced by the FAAP Theater and the Museum of Brazilian Art (MAB). The museum is home to both international and Brazilian art exhibitions as well as national art research.

FAAP Fitness Center Located on campus, the Fitness Center offers students a wide range of equipment for workouts and fitness training.
