Study Abroad in Salamanca: Housing and Meals
Many students say that the Spanish homestay experience was the most rewarding part of their time abroad. Students may request to live with a Spanish family and have all meals with them. Students with food allergies or special food requests must specify their needs on the application form. Most rooms are based on double occupancy. Some homestays accept other students from Europe at the same time. Single placements, made in advance, may be available upon request. A supplement (approximately 60 euros a month) must be paid directly to the family by the student. Alternatively, students may stay in double rooms in a University residence hall occupied exclusively by international students in the summer. Three meals are provided daily.
AIFS always arranges the best accommodation available for students. After the program begins, AIFS students may not switch from dorm to host family or vice versa. Changes in housing will be considered only in the event of health and safety issues.
