Study Abroad in Granada: Housing & Meals
Students can choose to live in Spanish homes carefully selected by the Resident Director or in a student residence. The homestay experience can be the most rewarding part of a student’s time abroad. It is the best way to learn Spanish, get involved in the culture and integrate into the local community. Patience, respect and an open mind are essential to success. Students have three meals a day, seven days per week with their hosts. The student residence is located a short walk from the AIFS office and the Centro de Lenguas Modernas (University building). The residence is also home to Spanish and other foreign students. Students have three meals a day in the residence Monday to Saturday. Rooms are based on double occupancy with bathrooms and are subject to availability. Requests for a particular roommate are usually honored depending on availability. Since the residence is more expensive than a homestay, students who choose this option must pay a supplement before departure from the U.S.
