Study Abroad in Barcelona: Housing and Meals
Students live in the Citadines Apartment Hotel situated in the center of Barcelona on the famous Ramblas, a few minutes’ walk from the Plaza de Catalunya and the Cathedral. The hotel is near several bus lines and metro stops, which provide easy access to the University in less than 30 minutes. Students live in air-conditioned, twin-bedded studio apartments (one bed is a pull-out which is stored during the day) equipped with a bathroom, kitchen area, dishwasher, refrigerator, kitchen utensils, T.V., CD player and telephone. Sheets and towels are provided and are changed once a week.
A limited number of single rooms may be available for a supplement of $1,750 for the 4-week program or $2,650 for the 6-week program.
AIFS always arranges the best accommodation available for students. Changes in housing will be considered only in the event of health and safety issues.
Students receive a daily meal allowance to cover the cost of breakfast and for one other meal (lunch or dinner) at the University cafeteria. Students may also use the allowance to purchase food to prepare their own meals as each room has a kitchenette. This is a subsidy and will not cover the cost of meals in expensive restaurants.
