Hola a todos! I've been working with AIFS students in Cusco since 2008. I was born and raised in Lima and studied at PUCP, majoring in Business. I started teaching English when I was still a student. That gave me the chance to win a scholarship and attain the position of Teaching Assistant in the Spanish Department at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. That was a turning point in my life, not only because I enjoy teaching, but also because of the cultural experience.
After coming back to Lima, I continued taking every course and certificate in language teaching I could find. I also worked with Holy Cross, first as their Cultural & Academic Advisor at PUCP and then as their Program Coordinator. I teach both English and Spanish at Idiomas Católica, PUCP's Language Center, where I am an Assistant Academic Coordinator. I would say that being part of the Spanish & Inca Culture Program in Cusco is a way to share with (American) students the same enriching experience I got abroad. I am really looking forward to sharing everything Peru and particularly Cusco has to offer.
The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
