Kia ora! I work as a Student Advisor in Victoria University’s international office and became the AIFS Program Coordinator for Wellington at the beginning of 2011. I was born and raised in Wellington and know the place intimately. I have also spent some years overseas studying, travelling, and working in many places but mainly Europe and the Americas. Along the way I have become fluent in French, reasonable in Spanish, and I am currently learning Te Reo Mãori (New Zealand / Aotearoa’s indigenous language). I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate study here at Victoria University, majoring in English Literature, Religious Studies (World Religions), and Development Studies. I am particularly fascinated by cross-cultural interaction – so I really enjoy being able to introduce people to New Zealand as well as being able to share in their fresh perspective.
All of this means I am very well-placed to advise and support you through your experience as an international student in New Zealand.
The AIFS Coordinator provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
