Get an Early Start on Summer with a Program in May

In 2015, AIFS offers more summer program options than ever, including new session lengths and dates to accommodate busy summer schedules.

Two new sessions being offered are the "Maymester" programs in San José, Costa Rica, and Florence, Italy.

San José (May 2-30): Students study intensive Spanish language for four weeks, earning 5 semester credits. Students also visit Manuel Antonio National Park and participate in many cultural activities including tropical dance lessons, visits to local attractions such as a coffee plantation and museums, and theater performances. The May session can be combined with a second session in June for an 8-week program.

Florence (May 9-30): Students on the 3-week Maymester program take one course focusing on an aspect of Italian culture, either painting, food and culture, or Italian symbols of identity. Cultural activities include Italian cooking classes, wine tastings, gelato tours, museum visits, and more. The Maymester program can be combined with a 4-week session in June.

It was humbling to venture through such a sacred environment where a profound amount of worship, concentration and discipline take place...
