Internships in Florence: Housing & Meals
Students live in an Italian home or a student apartment. Housing is arranged on the basis of housing form requests. Typical accommodations might be with an Italian host family in an apartment (a single person or retired couple) in a residential section of Florence or a spacious apartment shared with up to eight other students. If in an apartment, approximately 280 euros should be paid directly to the landlord upon arrival as a deposit for utilities. Phones are not provided. Cell phones can be purchased for a reasonable price.
Students receive restaurant vouchers for 10 meals per week (five breakfasts plus five dinners per week except during trips). Vouchers can also be used in supermarkets, so students sharing apartments may pool resources to cook for themselves. Housing is located within a 30-minute commute of the Study Center.
