Study Abroad in Florence: Housing & Meals

Students live in an Italian home or a student apartment. Housing is arranged on the basis of housing form requests. Typical accommodations might be with an Italian host or family in an apartment in a residential section of Florence or a spacious apartment shared with three or four other students. If in an apartment, approximately $300 deposit should be paid directly to the landlord in euros upon arrival for utilities. Phones are not provided. Cell phones can be rented for a reasonable price.

Students receive restaurant vouchers for 10 meals per week (five breakfasts plus five lunches or dinners per week except during trips and spring vacation). Vouchers can also be used in supermarkets, so students sharing apartments may pool resources to cook for themselves. Housing is located within a 30-minute commute of the Study Center.
