Program at a glance

• 4-week summer study abroad in Berlin, Germany
• Open to high school graduates, college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 required
• No previous German language study required, however students must take a German language course during the program
• Program fee includes tuition, housing, a meal allowance, excursions and cultural activities, London visit, day visit to Hamburg, airfare if selected, and more
• Earn up to 7 semester credits
• Courses include German language classes at all levels plus courses in Business/Politics and German Culture taught in English
• The local AIFS Resident Director and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
• Visa not required for U.S. citizens for less than a 3-month stay
• Transcripts issued by Humboldt University

Application and scholarship deadlines

• Applications must be submitted by March 15th, 2010. Applications received after the posted deadline are subject to an additional $200 late fee.
• AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships available. The scholarship deadline is March 1, 2010.
