Study Abroad in Grenoble: Overview
Program at a glance
- Full academic year, fall or spring semester
- Open to college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
- 2.5 minimum GPA required
- Program fee includes tuition, housing, most meals, London stopover, excursions
and cultural activities, airfare if selected, trips to Venice and
Paris, and more
- One (recent) year of college French required
- Courses, taught in both English and French in art history, business administration, economics, history, literature and political science, plus French language. Those taking French seminars must place into intermediate French
- The local AIFS Resident Director and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
- Student visa required. Must be obtained before departing the U.S.
- Transcripts issued by the Centre Universitaire d’Etudes Francaises (CUEF) of the University of Grenoble III
Application and scholarship deadlines
- Applications for the academic year or fall semester will be accepted on a space available basis. Spring semester applications must be postmarked by
October 15.
- AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships available. The scholarship application deadlines are April 15 for academic year or fall semester; October 1 for spring semester.
