Study Abroad in Grenoble: Overview
Program at a glance
- Full academic year, fall or spring semester
- Open to college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
- 2.5 minimum GPA required
- One (recent) year of college French required
- Courses available in French and English. Those taking French seminars must place into intermediate French
- The local AIFS Resident Director and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
- Student visa required. Must be obtained before departing the U.S.
- Transcripts issued by the University Center for French Studies (CUEF) of the University of Grenoble III

Application and scholarship deadlines
- Applications must be postmarked or submitted online by May 15 for academic year or fall semester; November 15 for spring semester. Applications received after this date are subject to a late fee of $250. Apply online now!
- AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships available. The scholarship application deadlines are April 15 for academic year or fall semester; October 1 for spring semester.
