Study Abroad in London: Housing & Meals

During your time abroad, you will live in central London, close to the campus and the famous Kensington Gardens and West End theater district. Accommodations are in double and triple rooms in University approved residence halls. Since housing is usually in traditional buildings not originally designed to be dormitories, rooms and showers may be smaller than you expect.

Housing upgrade For an additional fee, you may choose to live in a single room in the University residence halls or in a shared room in a nearby studio apartment. The studio apartments typically house 2 or 3 students and have private bathrooms and cooking facilities. Single rooms and studios are available on a limited basis and must be requested and paid for by the program application deadline. Please contact your Admissions Officer for further details.

AIFS always arranges the best accommodation available for students. Changes in housing will be considered only in the event of health and safety issues.

Ten meals a week (5 breakfasts and 5 dinners) in the student cafeteria are included, credited on smart cards. Extra meals can be purchased in the canteen in Atlantic House and Kensington has many food establishments where you can purchase food or eat out.
