Shanghai International Studies University (SISU)

A national-level “key” university, founded in 1949 under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education of China, Shanghai International Studies University is well-located in downtown Shanghai Puxi – the traditional Shanghai - in the Hong Kou District and a neighbor of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. SISU caters to 8,000 students and offers 26 undergraduate and 10 graduate/doctoral programs to local students, specializing in language and culture (where it is ranked as one of the top two in China for this area), business and legal studies. SISU will provide the on-campus housing, cultural components and logistical support in cooperation with AIFS for this program.

Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE)

Also a national-level university, SUFE, established in 1917 has become a highly-prestigious, specialist university which provides one of the top domestic business programs in China including an MBA and an EMBA to local students. Its graduates hold many top positions in economics and business in government and commercial sectors and among its schools is the “Institute of World Expo Economics.” By special arrangement, SUFE will provide a choice of international business and urban economics courses some of which are taught two evenings a week during the AIFS/SISU Internship Program and others during the day, on its downtown campus adjacent to SISU.

From the campuses you can easily reach the Huang Pu River and the Bund area by public transport and a metro (subway) line is a few minutes walk from AIFS study center, to facilitate travel to internship placements.
