Study Abroad in Nanjing: Academics
This program is open to students in good standing (2.5 minimum GPA).
Course load
Between 12 and 15 credits is recommended. All students take beginner or intermediate Mandarin (5 credits) and Chinese Cultural History (4 credits), plus one or both of the other two courses available.
Assessment/transcripts
Students take exams in all courses. Transcripts are issued by Nanjing University.
Classes
Classes meet for approximately 14 weeks each semester.
Student advising
The AIFS Resident Director and staff in the Institute for International Students are available for student academic advising.
Course Load
12 to 15 semester credits total:
Beginner or Intermediate Mandarin - 5 semester credits
Chinese Cultural History - 4 semester credits
One or both of the elective courses - 3 or 6 semester credits
