Founded in 1622, the University of Salzburg achieved great prestige during the reign of the Habsburg Empire and was one of the most famous universities of 17th and 18th century Europe. After WWII, the University was re-established and is now flourishing. The University of Salzburg capitalizes on its position as a leading university in the center of Europe. An interdisciplinary Department of International Relations and Political Science draws students from around the world to meet with faculty and each other to help solve the problems of the 21st century. Faculty from this department teach classes in English exclusively for AIFS students. You can study effects of trade agreements and multinational corporations on development, or how to solve a crisis in international conflicts.
