Study Abroad in Cairns: Overview
Program at a glance
- Spend 4 weeks in Australia taking a comprehensive survey of the varied Australian environment with specific focus on ecotourism
- Open to high school graduates, college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 required
- Program fee includes tuition, housing, meals, excursions
and cultural activities, visit to Sydney, airfare if selected, and more
- Earn 3 semester credits
- Visit Sydney (3 nights), Cairns (19 nights), Atherton Tablelands (2 nights) and the Undara Outback (2 nights)
- The local AIFS Program Coordinator and staff organize cultural activities and housing, act as a liaison between students and the university, and are available 24/7 in case of emergencies
- Visa required at student expense. Apply online for an Electronic Tourist Visa (ETA)
- Transcripts issued by James Cook University in Cairns
